Profiles tab of NOD32 Control Center

The profile tab of Nod32 Control Center define different scanning profiles. This allows quick selection of scanning parameters. Profiles can also be used with the task scheduler.

The list of Profile are:

• Control Center Profile- In-Depth analysis
• Context menu Profile
• Control Center Profile
• Control Center Profile - Diskettes
• Control Center Profile - Local
• My profile

You can also have the following options in this tab:

• Run this profile in cleaning mode.
• Use this profile for scanning files/ folders from within the context menu.
• Use this profile when launching NOD32 from the control Center.
• Local or In-Depth analysis or NOD32 or Diskette
• Set password protection for this profile - password is not set. Password can be set within the NOD32 Control Center.

The Setup tab of Nod32 Control Center

The setup tab allow you to set threat sense scanning engine options and other scanning parameters which are as follows:
Scan:

• Files
• Boot sectors
• System memory
• Archives
• Self-extracting archives
• Runtime packers
• Email files
• Alternative NTFS streams

Threat Sense Scanning Options:

• Virus signatures
• Heuristics
• Advanced heuristics
• Adware/ Spyware/ Riskware

• Enable Anti-Stealth technology

Manual Updates of NOD32 in Offline mode

The regular updates are taken automatically if you have internet connection and correct username and password. But if you don't have internet connection then it is not possible to update regularly and automatically. For solving such problem, NOD32 antivirus has made easy updates of antivirus even in offline mode. For updating NOD32 antivirus in offline mode following process should be followed:

Grab NOD32 antivirus update files from the updated computer and store it onto your computer's hard drive and copy the location of update files.

1. Open NOD32 control center.

2. Click on Update option.
3. Now click on setup option.

4. Now choose the location of server by clicking on servers button...

5. Click on Add... button and paste the location where the update files are stored like "C:\Users\Jibesh\Desktop\nod32_updates"

6. Now click on OK button.
7. Again click on OK button.
8. Now click on Server drop down pallatte and choose the location of updates files store in your hard drive like "C:\Users\Jibesh\Desktop\nod32_updates"
9. Click on OK button.
10. Finally click on Update now button. The NOD32 antivirus will start to update the virus database signatures.
