Installing and uninstalling ESET Security products

Installation of ESET Security products is quite easy and simple. Installing the product is like installing other software. Only you need to have setup file to install. Double click on the setup file and follow some steps to complete it.

Uninstallation of ESET Security products are quite harder. Sometimes it is necessary to upgrade your ESET Security products or  due to corrupted installations. You need to follow certain steps. The steps are as follows:
  • Click on Start button.
  • Go to All Programs>ESET>Uninstall or you can uninstall it from add and remove programs from control panel
  • After uninstallation of ESET Security product, you need to restart your computer.
  • After restarting your computer, you need to locate the hidden files and folders of ESET Security product and need to be deleted.
  • For that, click on start button>control panel>folder options and in view section, select show hidden files and folders option.
  • Now you will be able to view the hidden files and folders in your computer.
  • Delete all hidden files and folders.
  • You also need to delete the hidden files and folders in the following locations also.
    • Go to ESET folder from system drive then program files.
    • Go to ESET folder from system drive then documents and settings then all users then application data.
    • Go to ESET folder from documents and settings then %user% then application data.
Delete all the files and folders of ESET from the above mentioned locations.
